Worship at First Baptist is more than just going to the sanctuary to hear the choir sing, saying a prayer, giving some money, and listening to the pastor preach. Worship is about meeting people and sharing the love of Christ with them, serving our Lord through various jobs in our church, and praising our Savior from the heart.
Worship involves the whole person. Romans 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
We worship God by centering our lives in Him and responding to Him daily. As a family, we gather for worship on Sunday to focus on praising and honoring God through music, prayer, and message. Our goal is to participate and be transformed as we open ourselves to our Creator and Savior.
